The American School of Valencia (ASV) is preparing for Summer 2026 a new edition of Discover America, a program inspired by American camps for linguistic and cultural immersion.

Under the slogan “A Taste of America,” the camp transforms English into the natural language of communication, coexistence, and play. The program emphasizes experiential learning, where students learn English while participating in sports activities, cooperative challenges, outdoor dynamics, and creative projects that bring them closer to the culture of the United States. All this, guided by native and bilingual staff trained in the ASV's educational methodology.
The program recreates the essence of classic American 'summer camps,' combining sports, adventure, and teamwork. It is aimed at students from Primary and 1st to 3rd grade of ESO, regardless of their previous English level, as the activities promote natural language comprehension through practice and constant interaction.
One of the differentiating elements is its weekly thematic approach. Each week, the camp symbolically "travels" to a different state in the United States to discover its history, culture, and customs. Students will be able to build a model of the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco, participate in simulations related to space missions in Florida, or learn songs typical of American camps.
The program also emphasizes sports and team activities, introducing students to popular US disciplines and fostering values such as leadership and cooperation. For older students, an overnight camping experience within the ASV campus is included, aiming to recreate the adventurous and camaraderie atmosphere.
The eminently practical approach of Discover America also makes it a suitable option for students beginning their English learning journey. Visual, creative, and participatory activities allow students to easily follow the camp's pace and acquire vocabulary naturally.
The ASV Summer Programs 2026 will run from June 29 to July 24, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexible one-to-four-week stay options. The school will offer complementary services such as bus routes, extended hours, a cafeteria, a swimming pool, and sports facilities. Families can find all information and register on their website.
