The Spanish Association Against Cancer in Valencia held its traditional annual collection last Thursday, May 7, raising nearly €300,000 for the fight against the disease.

More than a hundred collection tables were set up throughout the city of Valencia, led by 1,000 volunteers. The day was marked by the great participation and generosity of the public, who helped achieve this significant amount.
The funds raised will be used to finance essential resources for patient support and accompaniment, as well as for prevention programs and research projects in the fight against cancer. The initiative aims to continue advancing in improving the quality of life for those affected.
As every year, various authorities participated in the event, showing their support for the cause. Among them, the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, the president of les Corts Valencianes, and the mayor of Valencia approached the tables to participate in the collection.
Other prominent figures, such as the vice president of a well-known supermarket chain, accompanied by players from a local basketball team, and the Fallera Mayor of Valencia, also wanted to join the event. Additionally, several collaborating companies and entities, including Aquaservice, Cecotec, and Levante U.D., contributed to the success of the initiative.

"One more year, Valencian society has demonstrated its immense generosity, commitment, and solidarity. We sincerely thank all the people who last Thursday, the 7th, took to the streets and dedicated their time, effort, and enthusiasm. Thanks also to the companies, our tireless volunteers, and the human team of AECC Valencia, whose dedication makes it possible for us to continue moving forward. This is not just a day of fundraising; it is and always will be a day for hope."
