The L'Alcora City Council has launched the "YoConecto" program, offering four free courses to improve citizens' digital skills, with a focus on managing online procedures.

The L'Alcora City Council is delivering a comprehensive technology training cycle for its citizens through the "YoConecto" program. This ambitious educational initiative includes four independent, in-person, and free courses, developed in collaboration with the Cibervoluntarios Foundation, aiming to enhance residents' digital competencies autonomously and securely.
The mayor of L'Alcora, Samuel Falomir, along with the Councilor for Finance, Robert Tena, and the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Pablo Delgado, visited the participating students in the training room to gain firsthand insight into the sessions' progress.
The authorities attended a session of the course focused on "Useful Apps for Managing Online Procedures." Due to the success of the first session held in May, the council is now offering a second edition of this workshop to meet the high demand. Participants learn to use key digital tools such as the Cl@ve PIN system, the Mi Carpeta Ciudadana platform, the miDGT App, and the Health Service application for managing medical appointments remotely.
Each of the four courses within this plan lasts 4 days, totaling 12 hours, divided into 8 hours of instruction and 4 hours of personalized tutoring, and they come with official certification.
Following the two editions dedicated to administrative procedures, the Training Room will host the next scheduled courses: on June 8th, the workshop "Secure Internet for Minors" will begin, focusing on cybersecurity within the family context, and on June 22nd, the course "Create Content with Artificial Intelligence" will start, running in the afternoon from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The City Council emphasizes the importance of these ongoing actions to reduce the digital divide and promote citizen autonomy in using new technologies. The "YoConecto" program is part of the Generación D initiative, promoted by Red.es and the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, and is financed by the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan through the Next Generation funds from the European Union.
