The player from Vitoria, Unai Ropero, has said goodbye to Hércules CF upon the end of his loan spell in Alicante. Through social media, the footballer expressed his gratitude for having worn the Alicante club's jersey, where he felt the support and affection of the fans.
Ropero, who played as a winger, second striker, and false nine, has been one of the team's most dynamic assets. During the season, he scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists, becoming the team's second-highest scorer, only surpassed by Fran Sol. He maintained a starting position throughout the campaign under coaches Rubén Torrecilla and Beto Company, thanking the technical staff for their trust.
His continued presence at Hércules would be welcomed, but the process is not straightforward, as the player depends on the decisions of Alavés's sporting management, the club to which he belongs. Ropero's dream is to play at home, although the leap from Primera RFEF to the First Division seems challenging.
In his farewell, Ropero also wanted to thank the rest of the squad for the warm welcome he received, highlighting the great group of professionals and the incredible hearts of his teammates. "I'm taking great friends with me," he stated. Finally, he wished the club good luck and expressed confidence that "Hércules Club de Fútbol will return to where it deserves to be."
