From this Saturday until June 23rd, Alicante is hosting cultural events including concerts and festivals to anticipate the Fogueres celebration.

The Fogueres Culturals program kicked off this Saturday with a concert by the Colla Federal at Les Cigarreres and the XIX Andrés Llorens Band Festival in La Florida. This initiative will extend until June 23rd with various events focused on music, folklore, and traditions associated with the city's official festivities.
The Colla Federal concert, which began at 7 PM, was dedicated to music linked to the Fogueres de Sant Joan by composers from the Federation of Folklore of Alicante. Personalities from the world of Fogueres, to whom the pieces were dedicated, were also present: queens, ladies-in-waiting, presidents, hogueras commissions, and barraques.
For its part, the Andrés Llorens Band Festival, starting at 9 PM, will feature the participation of the Unión Musical Ciudad de Asís and the Agrupación Musical SDC Carolines.
The Ninot Exhibition, at the Llotja del Peix, is also part of Fogueres Culturals. Additionally, on June 2nd, an exhibition will open at the Municipal Archive exploring the presence of Don Quixote in the Fogueres throughout the festival's history.
Furthermore, on Sunday, June 7th, the fourth edition of the Folklore Showcase will take place on Avenida de la Constitución. This day will be dedicated to Alicantinian music and folklore, with the participation of dance groups, pipe and drum ensembles, a muixeranga, giant and dwarf groups, and workshops on traditional crafts and instruments, as well as the involvement of the Federation of Traditional Festivals of Alicante.
On Tuesday, June 16th, the XXIX Fogueres Music Concert will be held at the ADDA at 8:15 PM, performed by the Municipal Symphony Band of Alicante with the Orfeó Cantábile and conducted by Pedro Lara Navarrete.
The final event included in Fogueres Culturals will take place during the main Fogueres festivities on June 23rd: the traditional 'dansà' around the Official Bonfire in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
