Artist Pedro Espadero has explained the details of the 'Singulares' Official Hoguera, which this year will stand 18.50 meters tall, during a workshop visit with Mayor Luis Barcala and the Belleas del Foc, María Pastor and Leire Arellano, accompanied by their Maids of Honor. Espadero detailed that the hoguera's theme is based on unique celebrations from the province of Alicante, including references to towns such as Torremanzanas, Ibi, Cocentaina, Agost, Onil, and Busot, as well as Alicante traditions like Corpus Christi, May Crosses, and elements from Tabarca. A reproduction of a mural from the Gran Sol building is also part of the composition.
The dimensions of the hoguera's topping will reach 17.50 meters in width. The three main pieces are still under construction, as the usual process has been altered to optimize workshop space, leaving the smaller pieces, which will be the first to arrive at the square, for last. Pieces already finished and packed for transport were also shown.
Meanwhile, Sergio Gómez, artist of the 'Equilibri' Children's Official Hoguera, announced that it will be completely finished by midday on Thursday, June 18. Gómez explained that his thirteenth children's official hoguera aims to create a visual game through balance in its composition, featuring figures like harlequins, dancers, and balancing dogs. The Bellea del Foc and her Maids visited Gómez's workshop, expressing surprise at the painting stage of the figures.
Tabatha Delgado, a student of the Higher Degree in Hogueras and Scenography at IES Las Lomas, gifted the Belleas and Maids a personalized box with the children's hoguera's motto.
