The Quintana area in Alicante will host a new edition of its Cultural Spring on Saturday, May 16, an event aimed at boosting local commerce with a wide-ranging program.

This event, organized with the participation of the local business community, will take place from 10 AM to 5 PM, transforming Poeta Quintana Street into a major meeting point. 86 stalls will be set up, offering artisan products, gastronomy, photography, and illustration, among others.
The program includes live music, art, children's workshops, and various cultural activities, with the aim of revitalizing local trade and offering a day of leisure open to residents, visitors, and families. The initiative was presented by the Councillor for Commerce and the president of the Zona Quintana Merchants' Association.

"I encourage Alicante residents to be an active part and protagonists of this festival created by commerce to enjoy a day together, valuing local, artisan products, culture, our top-level gastronomy with lots of fun and live music."

The Cultural Spring has become a prominent event for local commerce, combining leisure, shopping, and culture to bring the area's establishments closer to the public and strengthen the bond between businesses and their customers. The Quintana area was one of the first commercial zones in Alicante to bring its establishments out into the street to open them up to the city.
During the event, one of the award-winning croquettes from the Alacroqueta festival, made by a local restaurant, which secured third place with its carbonara croquette, will also be available for tasting. This event is subsidized by the Department of Commerce of the Alicante City Council and has been prepared over several months with the involvement of local businesses and hospitality establishments.

"Spring has arrived in Quintana, and we are going to celebrate it in style with traditional artisan commerce, concerts, and a big party to which we invite everyone to experience culture and art, Alicante's gastronomy and restoration, and the close know-how of our merchants."
