The General Directorate of Sport has resolved to award these grants, which will benefit 30 entities from the province of Alicante, 12 from Castellón, and 68 from Valencia, as published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat (DOGV).
The subsidized sports programs are designed to bring together groups with physical and intellectual functional diversity, those at risk of social exclusion, individuals with acquired brain injury, mental illness, or cancer.
Various sports modalities will be developed, including chess, athletics, basketball, handball, fencing, football, futsal, adapted swimming, rowing, rugby, surfing, paratriathlon, hiking, taekwondo, and table tennis, among others.
The awarded amounts vary significantly. The adapted basketball program for individuals with ASD from the Alisau Sports Recreation Section in El Campello (Alicante) will receive 730 euros, while the 'Somos Capaces' program by the SRD of Adapted Sports of the Association Condenados al Bordillo of the Valencian Community, based in Dénia (Alicante), will receive 8,821 euros.
