This contract, divided into three lots, aims to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance work on the toll system across various FGV lines. Its initial validity is four years, with the possibility of an extension for up to one additional year.
Lot 1, allocated to TRAM d'Alacant, is valued at 2,968,130 euros and includes the maintenance of automatic vending machines, ticket offices, flap gates, and validators located at halts, stations, technical rooms, and workshops in El Campello, as well as onboard equipment in mobile units.
Meanwhile, Lot 2, covering Metrovalencia lines with INDRA technology, amounts to 7,574,600 euros. This lot extends to automatic vending machines, ticket offices, flap gates, and validators situated at halts and stations. Lot 3, also for Metrovalencia with SICE equipment, has a budget of 2,257,260 euros.
In total, FGV has 1,778 pieces of equipment included in this contract, of which 387 belong to the TRAM d'Alacant network and 1,391 to Metrovalencia. In parallel with this maintenance, FGV is driving the modernization of this equipment through the 2026-2030 Action Plan, which foresees an investment exceeding 830 million euros.
This plan includes improvements in stations and customer service, renovation of infrastructure, and the incorporation of new rolling stock. Recently, the installation of new readers has been completed, which, once the toll software is adapted, will allow validation with bank cards and QR codes. Additionally, new access gates have been incorporated at Colón and Paiporta stations in Metrovalencia to improve user passage conditions, with special attention to Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRM). Accessibility conditions for self-service ticket machines have also been improved, and 188 units with new video intercoms and inductive loop devices for hearing aid users have been added.
