The laboratory, organized in collaboration with the Local Development Agency Impulsalicante and with the support of the SGAE Foundation, took place this week as part of the film festival's parallel activities. The Councilor for Employment and Development, María del Carmen de España, highlighted the importance of this space for Alicante creators.
Other awards from the laboratory include the À Punt award for best fiction project for Pa Paula, by Aida Gren and Marta Ros; the Music Library award for Alegría, by Alberto Heredia; and the SGAE Foundation award for the most original project for Siete vestidos negros, by Max Deniam.
Additionally, Nunca estuviste aquí, by Constanza Pérez, received the Movibeta award, while El hombre sin rostro, by Samuel Quiles and Claudio Cerdán, obtained the Welab Professional Equipment award, which includes a 2,000 euro direct discount on camera equipment rental.
The jury comprised Luis María Ferrández (screenwriter and director), Alfred Costa (content deputy director of À Punt), María Soler (from the production company Morena Films), and Natalia Perepadenko (from Warner Bros. projects and markets).
The VIII Laboratory of Project Proposals and Presentation has consolidated itself as a meeting point for the audiovisual industry in Alicante, with 19 selected projects presented to industry professionals, platforms, and producers. The festival director, Vicente Seva, congratulated the winners and highlighted the success of participation.
