Fertiberia Port Sagunto has secured promotion to the Asobal League after defeating Fundación Agustinos Alicante 18-17 in the final held at the Port de Sagunto pavilion. The team coached by Sergio Mallo joins Horneo Eón Alicante in the top flight.

The Sagunto team confirms its return to the elite of Spanish handball in a closely contested and intense final. At halftime, the hosts held a narrow 11-9 lead, thanks to solid defense and strong goalkeeping performances.
In the second half, Fundación Agustinos Alicante reacted and kept the match open until the final moments. However, Fertiberia managed the crucial stages of the game to secure victory in front of their home crowd. Goalkeeper Dani was instrumental in preventing overtime with just eight seconds remaining.
The Sagunto team's path to the final included a 28-24 victory over Helvetia Anaitasuna in the semifinals, while Alicante had thrashed San Pablo Burgos 23-40. This promotion guarantees the presence of two Valencian teams in the next Asobal League season, a historic achievement for handball in the Valencian Community.
Despite the loss, Fundación Agustinos Alicante still has promotion options. The finalist will compete in a playoff against the third-to-last team in the Asobal for a spot in the top division.
