The Provincial Council of Alicante and the Generalitat Valenciana have signed a cultural collaboration agreement to reinforce joint work between both administrations and promote new initiatives aimed at boosting and disseminating culture throughout the province.
The Deputy of Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro, received the Regional Secretary of Culture, Marta Alonso, at the Provincial Palace. In the meeting, both institutions highlighted the importance of coordinating efforts to bring culture closer to all Alicante municipalities.
Navarro emphasized that «culture is a fundamental tool for social cohesion and territorial development, which is why this agreement represents an important step to continue offering quality cultural opportunities throughout the province». He also pointed out that «collaboration between administrations is key to optimizing resources and generating ambitious projects that reach every corner of our territory».
For her part, Alonso underlined «the need to continue working in a coordinated manner and to value new projects to strengthen the Valencian cultural fabric and support initiatives that contribute to preserving and disseminating our cultural identity».
The agreement will enable the establishment of new synergies between both institutions to promote cultural activities, foster the conservation and promotion of heritage, and facilitate the launch of joint initiatives for the benefit of citizens.
The regional secretary remarked that «this agreement represents a first step that reinforces and continues the solid ties already existing between both institutions». She also added that «new lines of work are now opening up that will allow us to expand the scope of joint initiatives, diversify proposals, and continue strengthening the cultural fabric».
The meeting was also attended by the Director General of Strategic Projects, Ester Olivas; the Director of the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, Manuel Olcina; the Artistic and Musical Director of the Auditorium of the Provincial Council of Alicante, Josep Vicent; and the Director of the Culture Area of the provincial institution, María José Argudo.
