A man has been missing since Sunday in El Campello after entering the water at Playa Calle del Mar, with the search resuming today.

A man has been missing since Sunday in El Campello after entering the water at Playa Calle del Mar and not being seen to exit. The search resumed on Monday after the overnight operation was suspended in the early hours without success.
The alert was received at 9:47 PM, after a person reported that a witness had seen a man in the water. The missing person had left his belongings on the beach, including a towel and a metal detector stick for finding objects in the sand.
The operation involved Salvamento Marítimo (Maritime Rescue), the Guardia Civil, Bomberos (Firefighters), and the Cruz Roja (Red Cross). During the night, the Helimer 220 helicopter from Maritime Rescue and the Río Oja patrol boat from the Guardia Civil were among the assets deployed.
The search continued until 1:30 AM, without locating the man. On Monday, it resumed with the Tabarca vessel, operated by Maritime Rescue with the Red Cross and based in Altea, while the Guardia Civil also deployed a patrol boat in the area.
The Consorcio de Bomberos de la Provincia de Alicante (Provincial Firefighters Consortium) has mobilized a helicopter and several drones to scan the beach area and support aerial search efforts.
The search efforts remain focused on the Playa Calle del Mar area, where the man was last seen after entering the water.
