The investment, representing an increase of 107,000 euros compared to 2025, will be distributed among various economic agents in the town to foster economic and social recovery. Among the subsidies, the 'bono comerç' (commerce voucher) stands out, encouraging purchases at participating establishments.
This year's budget also includes the 'cheque bebé' (baby check) for births, foster care, or adoptions, the 'volta al cole' (back to school) initiative to help families with school expenses, the 'tapa i caña' (tapa and beer) for the hospitality sector, the annual subsidy for the commercial association Agrupa, and support for purchases at the municipal market through the 'Tasta el Mercat' (Taste the Market) campaign.
The council has announced a reinvention of the annual commerce fair format. Post-pandemic, a degree of structural exhaustion was observed due to the closure of traditional businesses, changing consumer habits, and the rise of e-commerce, evidenced by a sharp decline in participation in 2024.
A survey of participating businesses revealed that 57.1% favored a biennial frequency due to work-life balance, economic viability, and logistical efforts. Consequently, the annual fair will be transformed into a 'Feria de 10' (Fair of 10) event, scheduled for October 16, 17, and 18, 2026.
This new premium format will position Riba-roja de Túria's commerce as the focus of an experience centered on current trends such as health, well-being, sustainability, and personalized commerce, featuring a renewed aesthetic and more robust planning.
“"We have reoriented the commercial fair in agreement with the merchants and have taken into account endogenous and exogenous factors to the sector. Furthermore, we have boosted direct aid, with 107,000 euros more than last year, bringing the total allocation to 550,000 euros."
