Industrial investment in the Valencian Community continues to grow, with projects worth over one billion euros launched in the last year alone. Alongside the Sagunto gigafactory, large logistics parks have emerged, such as the one in Loriguilla, which has just completed construction and is notable for its considerable dimensions.
From the air, the vast scale of this logistics center is evident. Its area is equivalent to that of fifteen football stadiums and could accommodate the population of Loriguilla itself. Another facility of identical size is planned to be built next to the existing one.
Fifteen companies will be established in this new space, including logistics operators, retailers, and e-commerce specialists, according to José Gil, the center's operations director. The Newdock Los Naranjos macro-hub is strategically positioned in Loriguilla, considered a natural extension of Riba-roja and a key logistics node due to its proximity to the A-3, AP-7 highways, and the port.
Initially, around 700 people will work in this new facility, with projections to reach 1,500 once the second phase is completed. The mayor of Loriguilla, Montserrat Cervera, has expressed the City Council's commitment to providing agility, planning, and confidence to companies wishing to establish themselves in the municipality.
Furthermore, in the same area, there is another logistics warehouse owned by the management and development company Conren Tramway, spanning 97,000 square meters, which is expected to create an additional 300 jobs. These projects are part of a trend of significant industrial investments in the Valencian Community over the past year.
