Iberdrola has invested over 10 million euros in Riba-roja de Túria for the renovation of electrical infrastructure affected by the DANA storm, reinforcing the local grid's reliability and resilience.

The main action focuses on redesigning the substation at the El Oliveral Industrial Park, a modernized facility to increase its safety against floods and improve its supply capacity. The company has allocated 7.3 million euros to the renovation of the 132 kV park and the 20 kV system.
This renovation includes the installation of medium-voltage centers on elevated platforms and the incorporation of a new integrated control and telecommunications system. Additionally, a transformer has been replaced by a 40 MVA unit, installed at height to reinforce protection against extreme weather events.
In addition to these improvements, Iberdrola has renovated 46 transformation centers in various parts of the municipality and has completed the undergrounding of over one kilometer of power line in the industrial park, with an additional investment of 3.4 million euros.

"These actions will allow homes and industries to have a more modern, compact, and secure network, in addition to highlighting the progress in the digitalization of facilities."

These actions are part of the il·lumina plan, a company program that includes an investment of 100 million euros to redesign the electricity grid affected by the DANA and promote a more digitized and resilient model. Most of the work is carried out without interruptions to the electricity supply thanks to the use of generators and improved communication systems with users.
For the project's development, the company has formed a team of 35 direct professionals and has collaborated with nearly 1,000 operators from contracting companies, mostly from the local area. This investment is part of Iberdrola's energy transformation strategy and its 125th anniversary.
