Registrations for the Volta a Peu Vila de Faura - Héctor Forner Memorial are now open. The Faura Town Council has enabled registrations for this sporting event, which will take place at 7:00 PM. The 7-kilometer route combines urban sections and forest paths, including the well-known climb to La Rodana.
The day will begin with several children's races starting at 6:30 PM, designed for children of different ages in a festive atmosphere. Registrations for the children's races can be made up to half an hour before the start.
For the adult category, registrations remain open through the Sportmaniacs platform, with a reminder that they cannot be completed on the day of the race. This year, the STRAVA Challenge is being revived, offering a free bib to whoever records the best time on the "subida Rodana carrera Faura" segment before May 15th.
Additionally, a geocaching event has been organized around La Rodana during the Easter holidays, with free registration vouchers hidden at various points on the mountain, such as "Bassa i Balcó de la Rodana" and "Aljub de la pedrera". Some of these vouchers have yet to be discovered.
The Councilor for Sports, Sergio Mateo, highlighted that these initiatives aim to promote contact with the natural environment and the practice of physical activity. Mateo added that the Volta a peu de Faura is "an experience that combines sport, landscape, and community", being a highly anticipated event for runners, especially for the climb to La Rodana.
With the start and finish line at Plaça Mestre Enric Garcés, the Volta a peu Vila de Faura solidifies its position as an essential event for lovers of races that combine urban and natural routes.
