The Casa Penya in Sagunto is organizing the free 'Atardeceres' (Sunsets) program during July and August, offering various activities to explore the Almardà-Almenara Marjal wetland.

The 'Atardeceres' program returns to Sagunto throughout July and August with a series of free activities to discover the protected wetland of the Marjal de Almardà-Almenara. The Casa Penya will adjust its hours, opening on Thursday afternoons instead of Sunday mornings, to host activities during the cooler parts of the day.
The schedule includes five guided tours to explore the natural treasures and enjoy the sunset. These tours will take place on Thursdays, July 2, 16, and 30, and August 13 and 27, starting at 7:00 PM.
Additionally, special events are planned: on Thursday, July 9, at 7:30 PM, there will be a children's theater performance by the company XA! Teatre with their play 'La mirada de Júlia', focusing on bats. On Thursday, July 23, at the same time, a yoga and mindfulness session will be offered in the marshland with Isidora Sánchez.
For families, on Thursday, August 6, at 7:30 PM, storyteller Niñacristal will present the storytelling session 'El petit samaruc', introducing this small Valencian fish and the threats it faces. Finally, on Thursday, August 20, at 7:00 PM, the Casa Penya will host a rush weaving workshop led by artisan Amparo Calero, who aims to revive this traditional craft.
Pre-registration is not required for the guided tours, although advance notice is recommended for groups of more than four people via email. For the four special activities (theater, yoga, storytelling, and rush weaving workshop), prior registration through the provided forms will be necessary.
