Sagunt has announced a plan to install smart buoys on the beaches of Almardà, Corinto, and Malvarrosa, with the aim of protecting them from coastal erosion.

The Sagunt City Council has presented an ambitious project that includes the installation of smart buoys on its most emblematic beaches: Almardà, Corinto, and Malvarrosa. This initiative aims to address the coastal erosion affecting these natural spaces and ensure their long-term conservation.
According to municipal sources, the buoys will be equipped with advanced technology to monitor various environmental parameters in real-time, such as sea currents, sea conditions, and sediment levels. The collected data will enable technicians to design more effective strategies to curb erosion and improve beach health.
This future plan not only seeks to protect the coastline but also to promote sustainable tourism in the El Camp de Morvedre region. Improving beach conditions is considered key to attracting visitors interested in the area's natural and scenic heritage.
