A sea of blue and white supporters flooded the center of Sagunto this Friday to celebrate the Sagunto Fútbol Base's promotion to 1ª FFCV, their second in a row, thanking the team's effort and commitment.

The city of Sagunto was painted blue and white this Friday to celebrate the emotional promotion of Sagunto Fútbol Base to the 1ª FFCV. This success, the second consecutive for the club, comes after a hard-fought league season won with "great effort, consistency, and commitment," as the fans expressed their gratitude to the players, coaching staff, and board. The celebration kicked off around 5 PM at the Camp de Xulla, the heart of Sagunto's grassroots football, and concluded there with a festive atmosphere, dinner, and music.
The celebration included a bus parade that departed from the stadium to Plaça Cronista Chabret. There, the first team members and coaches received a warm welcome from their supporters, who chanted "champions, champions" and sang Queen's anthem "We Are the Champions."
The overflowing joy of families, friends, and fans also extended to the other four academy teams that achieved promotion: the Women's Alevín, the Alevín A boys, the Infantil C, and the Cadete D. These teams enjoyed a ride in a convertible bus through the Sagunto roundabout. Meanwhile, the amateur team took the opportunity to lay a floral offering to the Patron Saints at the Iglesia de Santa María, to whom they also dedicated the "league champions" trophy, a slogan displayed on their special jerseys.
The first team, accompanied throughout by club president Rafa Alós and board members, received congratulations from municipal authorities, including councilwoman and deputy mayor María José Carrera and the councilor for Education and LGTBI Policies, Raúl Palmero. The official reception at the City Hall with the mayor is scheduled for next Wednesday, June 3rd.
The festivities finally moved to the Camp de Xulla, where speeches marked the grand finale of a day dedicated to football.
