The local team secured promotion in the playoff phase, defeating CD Agustinos Alicante by a narrow margin of 18-17. Fertiberia BM Puerto Sagunto finished the regular season in second place, which allowed them to compete in the promotion playoffs held at the Pabellón Polideportivo Puerto de Sagunto.
In the semifinals, the Sagunto team beat SCDR Anaitasuna 28-24, while CD Agustinos Alicante overcame Club Balonmano Burgos 23-40. The final was an exciting derby where Fertiberia BM Puerto Sagunto fought until the end to secure their place in the ASOBAL League.
The reception at the council chambers was attended by the mayor of Sagunto, Darío Moreno; the Councilor for Physical Activity, Health, and Sports, Javier Timón; the club's president, Carlos Argente; coach Sergio Mallo; captain Diego Olba; and members of the first team.

The mayor reaffirmed the Consistory's commitment to the club, highlighting historical support and the need for other public administrations to also back the team. He called on citizens to help achieve a new record in club memberships.
The president of Fertiberia BM Puerto Sagunto thanked the municipal support and appealed to the responsibility of Valencian public administrations to meet the economic requirements. Captain Diego Olba dedicated the promotion to the city, and coach Sergio Mallo remembered everyone who contributed to this achievement.
