The intervention, which has an execution period of just over two months, addresses a long-standing neighborhood demand. Improvements include the renovation of sidewalks, the replacement of playground paving with safer and more accessible surfacing, and the upgrade of urban furniture.
One of the key aspects of the project is the modernization of lighting. The current sodium vapor system will be replaced by LED technology, which will improve energy efficiency and visibility throughout the park, contributing to greater safety for users.
“"This intervention responds to a historical demand from the neighborhood. Improving Elche also means improving its squares, its parks, its sidewalks, its children's areas, and its communal spaces. Neighborhoods cannot be forgotten."
Furthermore, the project includes the replanting of trees, maintenance work on the sports court, and the repair of deteriorated elements. The ultimate goal is for this communal space to be in better condition for the daily use of the neighborhood's residents.
This action is part of a series of investments that the council considers useful, local, and designed to meet the demands of residents, emphasizing the importance of not neglecting the city's neighborhoods.
