The initiative, part of the municipal urban infrastructure modernization strategy, has expanded lighting coverage, optimized energy consumption, and increased safety for pedestrians and drivers in various areas of the city.
Improvements have been made in streets such as Eugenio Segarra Torregrosa, Gardenias, the green area of Patricio Pérez street, Travesía Frasquito, the roundabout on Avenida Rosa Mazón Valero, Plaza Islas Canarias, and the area around the CV-905 towards Orihuela street.
Lighting circuits have been extended, new light points installed in previously unlit areas like Travesía Frasquito, and visibility enhanced in high-traffic spots such as the roundabout on Avenida Rosa Mazón Valero and Plaza Islas Canarias.
In the vicinity of the CV-905 and Orihuela street, a new control panel has been installed, luminaires with pedestrian proximity sensors have been incorporated, and projectors have been replaced, moving towards an intelligent lighting system that adjusts light intensity and reduces consumption.
The project was awarded for 177,739.53 euros, representing a 20.12% reduction from the base tender budget. The winning company, Sociedad Ibérica de Construcciones Eléctricas S.A., has also offered improvements such as a six-year warranty and 46 point-to-point remote management modules.
