The Guardamar del Segura City Council has opened the tender for the supply of five new vehicles for the Local Police, with a total budget of 415,630 euros including VAT, through a four-year rental contract.

The contract foresees the incorporation of two gasoline SUV vehicles for ordinary patrol, two additional SUVs with detainee kits, and a diesel 4x4 pick-up prepared for special interventions. All vehicles must be delivered within a maximum of two months from the formalization of the contract.
The technical specifications detail the minimum required characteristics, such as 150 horsepower engines, automatic transmission, 360-degree cameras, and driving assistance systems for the SUVs. The 4x4 pick-up will include a low-range gearbox, rear differential lock, and winch, among other features.
The contract also includes complete police equipment, such as approved light bars, sirens, Tetra radios connected to the COMDES network, security partitions for transporting detainees, and official vehicle wrapping. The awarded contractor will cover all maintenance, repair, ITV (vehicle inspection), insurance, and tire replacement costs during the 48 months.
An annual maximum mileage of 35,000 kilometers per vehicle is set, with an additional cost of 0.20 euros per kilometer if exceeded. The council also mandates the provision of replacement vehicles in case of prolonged breakdown or accident.
The contract award will be made through an open procedure, primarily valuing the economic offer (up to 60 points), additional equipment offered, and mileage conditions.
