The Brotherhood of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Catral will incorporate a new processional march into its musical heritage this year, a composition created specifically for the organization by musician Francisco Jorge Mora García.
The work, titled Señor de Catral, will premiere this Saturday at 11 PM during the concert offered by the Sociedad Unión Musical La Constancia de Catral. The event, conducted by Mario Ortuño, is part of the festivities honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
This new composition has been conceived to accompany the processions of the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the town's streets, aiming to enrich the brotherhood's musical and devotional heritage.
According to composer Francisco Jorge Mora García, it is "a march of a solemn character written with a contemporary musical language but with allusions to tradition." The composer states the intention was to create a piece that conveys solemnity, tradition, and fervor, while reinforcing the spiritual nature of the processions.
With this new premiere, the Brotherhood of the Sacred Heart of Jesus continues its commitment to enhancing its cultural and musical heritage, adding an original composition intended to accompany its titular image during its processional outings.
The concert is presented as one of the highlights of the festivities, offering the public the chance to hear, for the first time, a march that was designed from its inception to be part of the musical identity of the Brotherhood of the Sacred Heart of Catral.
Thus, Catral concludes the month of June with its patron saint festivities centered around the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, celebrated on Sunday.
