The pedestrian footbridge located at the mouth of the Cervol River in Vinaròs has been temporarily closed while inspection and maintenance tasks are carried out. According to the City Council, the objective of these works, which began on Monday, is to ensure the good condition of this key mobility infrastructure.
This is a routine check that takes place annually. During the inspection, the condition of the tensioned band supporting the concrete slabs used by pedestrians and cyclists is verified. The footbridge will remain completely inaccessible until the work is completed.
Additionally, the Municipal Works and Services Brigade has installed a large awning next to the pergola on the Colón section of the promenade. This action, repeated from last year, aims to provide solar shade to improve the well-being of promenade users, especially during the central hours of the hottest months.
