Vinaròs fairground workers have threatened not to set up their attractions for the upcoming San Juan and San Pedro festivals, disagreeing with the council's intention to install a Ferris wheel in the port area.

The setup of fairground attractions scheduled for today on the Fora Forat section of the Vinaròs promenade has not begun. The fairground workers are maintaining their threat not to install their attractions if the City Council proceeds with its intention to locate a Ferris wheel in the port area, a zone near where the festivities and musical performances for the San Juan and San Pedro festivals will take place.
The fairground workers stated today that their wish is to set up the attractions, but they do not share the council's idea of diversifying the leisure offer with a Ferris wheel in the port. Faced with this situation, some fairground workers are already seeking alternatives for setups at other fairs, and even doubt that the Ferris wheel will ultimately be installed.
Furthermore, they regret that the space allocated to the fair has been reduced, which would mean that, if set up, there would be two fewer attractions. For now, the Fora Forat promenade does not show the usual activity of previous years just days before the start of the festivals, with a notable emptiness where the attractions would normally already be in the process of setup.
