The town of Benicarló has chosen its Falleras Mayores for 2027, Carla Martínez and Claudia Pratsevall, in an event marking the start of the new festival year.

The Fallas community of Benicarló celebrated yesterday the anticipated election of the main representatives for the local josephine festivities for the upcoming year 2027. The event was attended by the 14 commissions, the Local Board, as well as family and friends of the candidates.
Finally, the chosen representatives were Carla Martínez, from Falla Benicarló, as the senior representative; and Claudia Pratsevall, from the El Grill commission, as the child Fallera Mayor 2027. The election for the younger representative was conducted live by voting, while the candidates waited at their homes or Fallas headquarters.
For her part, the election for the senior Fallera Mayor was not necessary, as Carla Martínez was the sole candidate for the position. Following the designation, the mayor of the municipality, Juanma Cerdá, was responsible for calling the two fortunate individuals to inform them of the news.
Immediately after, the honor courts of the Local Board gathered in front of the Magatzem de la Mar to welcome the new representatives and present them. Thus, the 2026 Falleras Mayores of Benicarló, Noa Pegueroles and Yune Sánchez, passed the torch to their successors in an emotional event that marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Fallas of the North.
The candidates who were not chosen were Cayetana Lluch (Nou Barri) and Carlota Cerdá (L’Embut). The child honor court is completed by Rafael Caracuel, Beltrán Ibáñez, Miguel Belver, Leo Calvo, Lucía Ortiz, Valentina Martínez, Alicia Miralles, Alexia Maria Popa, Elsa Albarrán, Roc Crespo, Martina Juanena, and Aitana Monfort. The senior honor court is composed of Raquel Gomis, Cristina Colom, Nerea Ferri, Jessica Bel, Ana Miguélez, Paula Palomo, Mar González, Carmen Portolés, Aitana Bel, Noelia López, and Beatriz Avilés.
