The Benicarló City Council began paving work this week on the Les Foies road, an action included in the plan to improve rural roads within the municipality.

The objective of these works is to improve the condition of the road surface and ensure optimal passage conditions on routes that endure continuous use, especially from agricultural traffic, and are affected by wear and tear from increasingly intense weather conditions.
In the case of the Les Foies road, the action will complete the intervention initiated in 2022, when the final part of the route was repaved. Now, the work focuses on the initial section, which will be paved with asphaltic conglomerate to finalize its comprehensive adaptation.
In parallel, work on the Capuro road, also known as the Capuro entrance, will begin next week and involves the complete conditioning of the route, significantly improving user safety and comfort.
In total, the City Council will renew 3.5 kilometers of rural roads with an investment of over 400,000 euros, as part of a plan to strengthen the municipality's rural road network.

"With these works, the Benicarló City Council reinforces its commitment to maintaining the rural road network and supporting the agricultural sector, which requires communication routes suited to its needs."
